Magazine Research

I have undergone research into a couple film magazines which I could typically used when creating my own magazine cover. I have specifically chosen to look at examples of Empire and Little White Lies magazine covers as they appeal mostly to the same age range and gender as the magazine cover I will be designing does.

Empire

Empire is a British monthly Bauer Media film magazine, the first issue was in 1989. Below are two examples of a typical Empire magazine, I specifically chose these two as I liked them for individual reasons, which were mainly to do with the layouts or fonts used.

Little White Lies

Little White Lies is a independent British bi-montly movie magazing and falls within the "Film" category and was first published 2005. The magazines features writing, illustration and photography which is related to cinema. Below are two examples of a typical Little White Lies magazine, which I found very interesting and I believe I would be likely to use these for inspiration.
I think I will be more likely to create a Little White Lies magazine for my magazine cover, this is because I believe it is the most effective and one that the specific target audience of my trailer and magazine will be more likely to buy.
